Three-way Catalytic Converter resembles muffler. Its outside in the shape of canister is made of stain steel plate. Between the double sheet of interlayer, there is the heat-resistant material (asbestos fibre felt). And inside in the center of reticulate clapboard, the purificant is equipped.
The purificant is composed of carrier and catalyzer. The carrier is made of AI2O3 in the shapes of sphericity, multi-prism, reticulate clapboard ect. Purificant, in fact has the function of catalysing, so it is also called catalyzer. Platinum, rhodium and palladium can be used as catalyzer, and use one of them sprayed and covered onto the carrier, then the purificant forms.

3). The best working temperature of Catalyzer is 400 -800, it should not exceed 1000; Otherwhise it would accelerate the aging and shorten the life-span of the catalyzer.
4). If the piston is damaged, the oil would flee into the engine, that would reduce the activity of the catalyzer.
